ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Cochrane and District Chamber of Commerce will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 11:30 am – 12:15 pm at the Cochrane Royal Canadian Legion (114 - 5 Avenue West, Cochrane, Alberta). A luncheon will follow (12:15 – 1:30 pm). Members are invited to attend the AGM and Luncheon at no cost.

The Annual General Meeting will provide the membership with an opportunity to participate in the mission and vision of the Chamber and will allow members to provide valuable input and ask questions regarding the past year's activities. Agenda items for the meeting include regular reports from the Board of Directors and any new business from the floor.  The AGM agenda and supporting materials will be forwarded to members in a separate email closer to the meeting.

2015 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Cochrane & District Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for 5 Director positions (2 year terms) and 3 Director positions (1 year terms). All nominators and nominees must be Active members in good standing of the Cochrane & District Chamber of Commerce. Officers of the Cochrane Chamber are appointed by resolution of the Board at its first meeting following the AGM.

The Nominations Form should be signed by both the Nominator and the Candidate.
To-date, we have received signed nomination forms from the following individuals for 2 year director positions:
• Bill Popplewell
• Dave Kelly
• Cathy Hayes
• Ron Knowles
• Steve Gross

A full description of the duties and responsibilities of the positions is available in the Bylaws at the Chamber Office or by request to c.business@cochranechamber.ca. A summary of the requirements is also available on the second page of the Nomination Form.

Nomination forms should be mailed to the Chamber Office – P.O. Box 996, Cochrane, AB T4C 1B1, or emailed to c.business@cochranechamber.ca prior to the March 25, 2015 Annual General Meeting. Nominations from the floor will be accepted at the meeting in accordance with the current bylaws.

Proxy Form
Members, not able to attend the AGM, who are entitled to vote at a meeting of members may vote by proxy by appointing in writing a proxy holder, who must be a person employed by the Active Member or a person designated as the representative of another Active Member of the Corporation, to attend and act at the meeting in the manner and to the extent authorized by the proxy.
